Argumentative Essays

 

An Essay is formal writing that analyzes and discusses a specific topic. An argumentative essay will give strong reasons about a subject but at the same time by giving opinions that are supported with a good explanation because it wants to persuade the reader.

So, what is an argumentative essay?

Look at your HOMEWORK-WORKSHEET AND ANSWER:

1. T ….. F….. An argumentative essay pretends to make a mental change in the reader.  

                      (persuasive).

2. T ….. F….. An argument does not show evidence and supporting details.

3. T ….. F….. In argumentative essays, we can use informal words.

4. T ….. F….. Argumentative essays should contain; introduction, body, and conclusion.

5. T ….. F….. Argumentative writing is the same than persuasive writing.
